SPRAYING

We started in 2001 with hand guns and spray hoses and progressed from there to a turbine fan with directional chute and, after achieving good results, developed that further to a twin turbine setup to improve efficiency. With wind velocity in excess of 160 kmh at the top of the chute we are achieving good penetration and coverage of big trees. The angle of both chutes and 4 banks of nozzles are independently controlled from the cab to give the versatility to cover all shapes and sizes of tree. Speed travelled is adjusted for each individual orchard to suit canopy size and density. The units are calibrated to apply the present industry standard. All spraying is undertaken compliant with the laws of regulatory bodies such as E.R.M.A, R.M.A, O.S.H, W.B.o.P Regional Air Plan and H.S.N.O . All employees have GROWSAFE and APPROVED HANDLER certification

We offer 3 levels of service:

STANDARD SERVICE:

• We contact you when we are in the area

• Discuss what chemical to apply in relation to your pest problem

• Keep electronic spray diary on request for small annual charge

TOTAL DISEASE AND PEST CONTROL:

• Liaise with your nominated pest monitor

• Phone you with recommended spray relevant to the monitoring report and with regard to withholding periods

• Monitor product applications to take advantage of market access and copper incentives

• Keep electronic spray and fertiliser diary (grower to supply information re fertiliser applications)

• Advise on timely applications of soluble ground and foliar nutrient as per industry best practice

• Notify neighbours prior to spraying

• Receive periodic newsletters with reminders of on orchard tasks, latest industry recommendations and developments within Avomax
